Does anyone know if this new bill they're coming out with to allow 18 years old to drive interstate, will companies change their driving age? I'm 17 and looking forward to being able to go OTR once I get out of high school, I've been driving for 3 years and very cautious of my surroundings and a lot mature than your average teen , so don't get on here saying negative stuff about an 18 year old behind the wheel of an big rig!

letting 18 yr olds go from state to state. It would be up to the companies as to who they would hire. It usually takes a minimum of 1 yr OTR to be considered by most companies.
So there no idea how it will play out . Companies are super conscious about liability.Jaylen729 Thanks this. -
There is plenty of trucking opportunity to work towards that is local or intrastate in the meantime
