While these shorts loads in the Northeast look good on paper... it's backfired on me all week pretty much.
2 different days of 5+ hour live unloads, one cargo claim needing to be relayed. Can't forget that one load I told Schneider I didn't have time to go on an MT hunt and needed approval to Bobtail in from the customer... nope they need trailers. So I went on an MT hunt then got the load.. arrived late for a live unload... rejected by the customer and then had to relay that load further away than the loaded miles were lol fun times!
Today had a 70 mile load paying over $400 but it took me the entire day!
Oh well.........
I'm about ready to take my ball and head back to the midwesttucker Thanks this. -
Hello driver.... That last few days Ive been researching this choice lease purchasing program... I came across it just browsing the internet..Normally I hear negative things about lease purchasing but so far I havent heard anything negative about this choice leasing program through Schneider... I'm in southern California... And if I decide to give it a shot I want to run it like LTL Linehaul. I wanna enjoy life on the road and time at home... My question is.... How does the board look profit wise if I only wanted to run California, Nevada,Arizona.. if you have time to look that up for me I would appreciate it.. if not I understand... My next question... Can you pull loads out of the bnsf rail yards? Thanks.

A huge negative what you're wondering about... rates suck out west.
I mean yeah you could do okay but nothing great.
Go through these Schneider threads and you'll see others complain about running out west and you'll also see multiple drivers that live out west that leave their truck in Texas or the Midwest and fly home.
However you do live in Southern Cali which I guess the best of the worst out there.
That's as far as I know from what I've read and heard but you're better off asking drivers that have experience out there. I am not one of them. I run the midwest 80% of the time and the Northeast probably about 20%, South and out west I don't really have any experience in.
Oh and this is just van, no intermodal. So you won't be seeing rail yards.Last edited: Oct 3, 2015
