Big Loads - Post Photos Number 2

Picked this one up yesterday and delivered it today. 100' long beam and 129k pounds.

 

Here you go!!! These are with the jeeps hooked up. When we do not need the jeeps the bunk goes on the 5th wheel of the truck and the dolly neck hooks into that.


This plate is hooked to the neck of the dolly and then a smaller 5th wheel on the back of the jeep.

The neck of the dolly would hook into the large square hole in the center of the bunk. Yes the bunk is chained, that is because if you do not chain it on the jeep it will spin like a top and take out all the airlines... LOL

This is the entire trailer with the jeep.

Just out of curiosity...does anyone think Skooter could drive all the way to Albuquerque without a chain on thing and have it not move an inch the whole way?

 

Probably till the first time he has to slam on the brakes

 

My bet is he won't use much brake at all...and hopefully it won't be windy when he gets to NM or they will down

 

Been a busy week... Started out with the bridge beam Monday and Tuesday, then 2 skidders on Wednesday (no photos) and a delimber yesterday. Then comes today and I delivered a 330 CAT excavator and picked up this 350 John Deere and took it back to the shop. After that I went and picked up a baler used in metal recycling. The baler itself weighed in at 93k. I only got a pick of the 350 and baler, kept forgetting to snap some photos.

 

forgive this dumb question but how do you pronounce the name of the town you're from?
