Over heard a cell conversation coming out of the crapper stall at a Loves in Texas ... "People say they do. But, I've been doing this 15 years and I've never seen a $1000 paycheck."

Warehouse worker in Memphis ... "Feeling pretty good. Getting a promotion. Going to get $18 an hour."

Always keep in mind ... this forum is the Lake Woebegone of the working class in general and trucking in particular ... Everyone is above average.

 

I regularly see paychecks over $1,000 gross pay. But after the government gives me my weekly rape job, I don't actually get to keep all of it. Do occassionally see better than $1,000 net, but not as often as I would like. But then, I'm a regional, short haul preferred, home every weekend, lazy bones driver. If I were to apply myself, and get out and actually WORK for a living, I could probably clear better than $1,000 most weeks.

Darn me.for being lazy, anyway!

Seems ludicrous. How could it possibly cost that much money?

Good question...I know the Global Cost of Bananas is around .77¢ a pound...flash cards, short leash and diapers can't cost that much for three weeks.

If I did something that stupid I'd have ran to the top of the parking garage and jumped.
How that driver's lived through his stupidity long enough to have gray hair amazes me.

 

He didn't look real young you would think someone his age would be a little smarter
