Oh yeah party lines were fun lol when they weren't downright annoying. we had a nosy neighbor that always was listening in and if she wasn't eavesdropping she had the line constantly tied up. We had a lot of fun with her. Got in a lot of trouble for messing with her too oh to be young and dumb and bored in the country

when i was young in Newburyport we only had to dial 5 numbers the party line was all relatives so wasn't quite as exciting
pay phones when I first drove was my own fish in my own truck going to Boston NY Baltimore and Philly so we didnt call much

 

This road is a bit of an oddball. NM9 technically ends at the Luna/Dona Ana county line, becoming Dona Ana County Road A 003 but maintains the NM9 mileposts.

Has a 65 mph speed limit despite not meeting the criteria for a 2 lane 65 mph speed limit in New Mexico.

 

i have tried to please Bino by stopping more often and checking in while I am on this run. despite all my efforts he reaches out to other drivers to call him at night but I have never got that invitation
