Had a VERY hard time getting up this morning. Dude in an ancient Columbia pulled in next to us last night as we slept and ran his rig at fast idle. When I woke, it was like fighting my way through syrup. Smell of exhaust was very strong.

Had a moment of panic when I checked on The Hot Chick in the top bunk; her face was bright red and she was initially unresponsive. She eventually woke and could move enough to get outside with me. We walked around and got some air till we felt better, but when I went back to confront the driver he had left.

Close call there--carbon monoxide poisoning is no joke.

 

Feeling strong again, grateful to be alive. Back to the salt mines! Delivering in Pontoon Beach (Unilever) then to terminal for inspection and a few writeups.

Might try to milk a 34 out of it. We'll see--might not happen as I am due home next Saturday.
