Wagons getting rocked in Vegas. Should be a fast unload. Feels like 2 of them are at it back there. Got an hour left on the 11 so should be staying @ the Casino in Jean, NV tonight.

Crossville now, stopped at the Waffle House for something to eat then home to my bed

 

Waffle House then bed? Might want to make a pit stop for a toilet of two!

 

maybe a pharmacy as well. i will no longer eat at that place. i got food poisening one time, and that was enough. here is how i believe it happened.

i was at the waffle house on Rte 60 in Richmond, VA.

i had made my order, earlier..

i saw the fry cook, wipe down the counter top with a dirty dish rag. then he took a pan off the stove, and wiped it clean with that very same rag. and pout it back on the shelf. by this time however, i had already eaten half my food. i got up and left.

i made it half way to Louisville, KY, our other terminal, and puked all day/night long. but i went on to complete my run. i had to ask my dispatch if i could stay at Louisville, and i was told, stay as long as i needed, as they had a real nice bunk room, it was easy to do. took me nearly 2 full days to get back on the road.

ever since that fateful day in Richmond, no more waffle house.

 

Last time I was at a Waffle House, it was in Dothan, Alabama. The help was just as bad as some of the clientele and they were all smoking. That was enough for me.
