I don't really know what I was saying either, truthfully I never even heard of K & B until a few weeks ago, not sure if they are as bad as everyone says. First thing I get there they tell me I screwed up leaving OFC, that these guys were ########. Dispatch was a little erratic, never know what time of day you were working, trailers not where they were supposed to be. But they are sending my check to me. All my 30 prior years was just here in the Omaha-Lincoln area hauling dirt, rock, tree's, demolition, building terraces and waterways, lowboy hire, commercial building sites and so forth. I started over the road couple years ago running tanker coast to coast and border to border, most of my runs were 12 to 2300 mile runs, this was just more sitting around and not doing anything or going anywhere for me. I ran heavy equipment most of my life, just had my own lowboy to move the stuff. Guess I was a general contractor for awhile, we did storm sewer, built levee's, jettee's, dug lakes, you name it we did it. Farmed and fed cattle before that. Went to Russia once just to see what it was like, actually had a girlfriend over there in Moscow. I have worked for all the big general contractors as a sub contractor before, some of those guys can be some hard people to work with too. Kind of went trucking just to get away from all that crap. Kind of a paid vacation for me, not having to deal with employees, inspectors, the dam government and general contractor's. For the most part I have enjoyed roaming around the country living in a truck, without having nothing to worry about. I did some pretty major jobs, one involved 10 miles of new roads for a well field as well as all the well pads and what not for Omaha's new Platte West Well Field, was interesting, they laid alot of piping under my roads and pushed twin 54 inch pipes a mile long under the platte river connecting the two well fields. Michaels out of wisconsin I think did that portion. Garney from Kansas had some part of the job and SJ Louis laid the rest of the pipe, it ended in a big fight over money, I got sick of all that stuff and jumped in a truck. Always someone jumping in your face on those construction jobs, seems alot mellower out here on the road. There is not much work in the construction field at present, Big Obama stimulus projects on highways. Guess few months ago I was asked to look at the new stratcom buliding project at offut airbase, it was too big for me at present, involved digging a basement 80 foot deep inside of some slurry walls below the groundwater like 250 x 500 foot building, six stories underground, not sure how many above, new hiding place for obama. Not sure who got it yet, could be some truck hire on it for dumptrucks, been gone a couple years and don't really know what is going on at home anymore, prices are really cheap though they say. later

I read the entire post! It's a good read! The post is 3 1/2 years old. Brought back memories of that Oriental Massage Parlor in Mocksville, NC and the other one in Moncks Corner, SC. "Thanks for the memories" as Jackie Gleason used to say.
