I think where you run plays a big part in that. If you mostly operate out west, then yes, you're definitely getting the shaft. But if you primarily work the northeast, the math is a bit more in your favor.
Attention interested persons for prime.

64mph*70= 4480miles * .40cpm = 1,792
67mph*70= 4690miles * .38cpm = 1,782
PAY CUT ??????archangelic peon Thanks this. -
The truth is incontrovertible. Malice may attack it, ignorance may deride it, but in the end, there it is.

LOL
& that is figured with ideal conditions as in no waiting at shippers/receivers, no traffic slowdowns, no waiting at fuel islands, ect as your 70 is burning & wheels are not turning...$PH>CPM>MPH
My check just came via email stating I grossed just under $1700.00 last week (NOT including nearly $300 in perdiem which doesn't count) for just over 5600 miles as my share of being a company team driver at Prime in a SLOW 62mph truck.
How much did your comprehension of "earning potential" make your time worth this week SISYPHUS?
Pssssst. Better let Prime-Mate do your math this time. LOLLast edited: Oct 22, 2015

67x11x.48 = 353.76 vs 64x11x.50 = 352.00. Is illiteracy a prerequisite to employment at Prime?
Steel Dragon Thanks this. -
You did not state your CPM in either case so taking an OTR industry average was reasonable. As the CPM goes up while MPH stays the same, the equation begins to swing in favor of your claim....
For one, it would not be considered "illiteracy" since the subject was a mathmatic calculation.
Dyscalculia is the correct word.
"Illiteracy" is also a false allegation anyway since there was no data that was misread or misunderstood, just information that was not provided; thus industry averages were used & rightly did not support your claim.
It is ironic that you misuse the word "illiteracy;" maybe you should have someone explain it to you, since the actual definition was obviously never understood to begin with...
It is possible you could have just made up those numbers anyway to save face from your original statements; that is also an as yet unknown, much like the CPM was.
Nice try, internet warrior.

LMAO! Illiteracy means lack of knowledge/ignorance in a particular subject. The math is solid and YOUR attempt at saving face is laughable. The cpm used is correct as that IS what I make per mile.
Steel Dragon Thanks this. -
From Lady Webster herself:
il·lit·er·a·cy
\(ˌ)i(l)-ˈli-t(ə-)rə-sē\noun
: the state of not knowing how to read or write
: the state of not having knowledge about a particular subject
: a mistake that is made in the use of language : an illiterate statement or expression
---------------------------------------------
dys·cal·cu·lia
\ˌdis-ˌkal-ˈkyü-lē-ə\noun
:impairment of mathematical ability due to an organic condition of the brain
--------------------------------------------
If you refer to mathematics, use the proper wording.
Even "ignorance" is a more appropriate word in this case since illiteracy is used primarily referring to ignorance of language.
As I already explained previously, BOTH equations (Prime-Mate's & yours) ARE correct mathematically & it was you who did not provide a key piece of said equation to begin with, so no "illiteracy" was perpetrated.
The statement was fully understood properly & data was inputted properly based on available facts & then you came back with a snarky blanket insinuation that based on this example, all Prime drivers are somehow "illiterate" for not knowing a key figure that changes the entire outcome & you had not stated to begin with.
Do you understand now?
Do I need to chop it up further so it doesn't hurt your teeth while chewing it over?
The crown of "illiteracy" belongs to you.
Your accuracy of statement leaves much to be desired.
You really should have that checked. LOLLast edited: Oct 22, 2015

Bump. I see a lot of unhappy drivers at this company. They like to bicker and cant obay rules.
Steel Dragon, rholl32 and Straight Stacks Thank this.
