Hi. I worked for them back in the 80s, when they were based out of Wyoming, Michigan. I believe the company was started in Nebraska.
What was notable about them were HUGE, very elaborate murals all over their trucks and trailers. Wildly varying themes. I remember one with a wizard. One red Freightliner had the name "Barnstormer" and it had little battling bi planes all over it. A blue Pete called "Sea Mist" had a beautiful mermaid on the back of the sleeper. Their Petes were 359 extended hoods, with wings on the sleepers. One of the trucks depicted the first space shuttle accident.
I remember many of their trucks were signed "Scott Signs." I think they were on the southwest side of Grand Rapids. Grandville?
I went to work for them near their end. They first put me in a dinky International set back axle single bunk. When that truck was repossessed from the terminal yard, they put me in a big sleeper Autocar, with a 425 Cat and 13 speed. For a guy running the country in his early twenties, it was fun.
Whenever I was in, walking through their parking lot was just a trip. Somewhere, I do have some old Polaroid pics. When I come across them, I'll scan and post. In the meantime, I wanted to start this thread, in case anyone else out there has any pics of them.

I was just thinking of them the other day, I rolled down Burlingame and went past the old building..
They had some GREAT looking trucks !!!! -
Really cool post. I would love to see those Polaroids. Seen a picture in an old rig book. Old kw with a cool mural on the side of the sleeper. Another bunch of truck pictures I would love to see is the Harvey Frampton rigs. They all would be a real treat.

The pics are from a old magazine i found the one with the flag on it was in support of farm aid . All of the tractors matched the the trailers and almost always stayed together . The 1980's in Grand Rapids trucking was booming Steele case was huge back then and the fleet was beautiful .
