You'll have the privilege of meeting trucking's best. Some drivers in orientation will have years of experience. That's to say you might meet "Bubby"......this guy can outdrink any driver out there. Or you might meet "Cowboy", this driver can leave Fresno at 8 am Monday and be in Atlanta Tuesday nite at 10 pm ! Then reload back to Fresno for Thursday nite. Or even "gearjammer" who runs 5000 mi/week, every week all by his lonesome ! Have fun !;)

He's trying to tell you that they are all legends in their own minds. Nobody at KLLM can run like that even if they wanted to, and anybody that would want to is an idiot. Don't believe all the war stories. P.S.- @Puppage was sincere in wishing you good luck. I am too

Do you already have your license or will you be in the school program? If you are new to trucking I suggest you run for a year or more as a company driver to learn the ropes before you even consider the lease program (which is just about 100% discouraged from the folks here). I would not know, I have always been a company driver.

I have been with KLLM over four years. Feel free to ask any questions on this thread or PM me when you have enough posts to allow it, if you don't already. I am currently driving intermodal for them in Chicago which gets me home almost every night. I have stayed in the truck about 5 nights so far this year.

They used to pay some loads by miles and some by percentage. Now all are paid by miles with a sliding scale to keep the shorter runs profitable. Well, except for my intermodal position. We are paid a salaried amount for any day we work.

They offer the option to buy into health insurance. They throw a little bit into a 401K as long as you are participation. I don't remember any other significant benefits.
