All my company road tests were similar to the one I got when I got my CDL road test but shorter.

A POS truck and a guy telling you when to turn. Angle back.
Don't hit anything and you'll pass. It is Swift after all, nothing to worry about.

if youll be going thru training I don't think its going to be nothing big. They'll just wanna make sure youre able to handle a semi.Im guessen theyre going to mainly focus on your shifting, turning and lane control isthen once training is over you may get another road test only this time youll have to back. Not sure if swift does it this was just a guess is all.

    Swift road test?

If there is a low bridge, hit it.

If there is a parked truck, tear its hood off.

Extra points are awarded for speeding through construction zones and school zones. On the interstate or anywhere else you can't speed, those bonus points are gained by driving in the passing lane making sure nobody can get by you.

When jacking it into a parking spot, if the fairings on the back of the cab don't put a crease in the side of the trailer, it's an automatic fail.

Now the above may or may not be true, as I have never worked for Swift. I can only assume this is what they want based off what I see out here on the road.

I think there should be a warning on this forum telling people truck drivers don't actually give advice or try to help we just make smart ### comments or make fun of you.

Best advice? Don't work for swift. Go find a mom and pop place that will take care of you in till you have the credentials to get hired on somewhere else. I drive mountains I chain up all the time in the winter. I've had more than one swift driver ask me how to chain during a storm! No one with a conscience would send someone into that unprepared. Be careful working there. Learn what you can as fast as you can. Pay attention to the graybeards they'll teach you.
