If you are in the Pittston, Pa area. 9 out of 10 you will be going to Tunkhannock to pick up or drop a trailer. I had drop my load at Kimberly Clark in Pittston. I had picked an empty from there. My next load was picking up in Tobyhanna. The customer requested that I bobtail in. The box planners had me drop the empty at Proctor and Gamble in Tunkhannock. I called my DBL and ask if I could just leave empty there. Nope she told me the box planners said they need empties at Tunkhannock. I told them I was gonna be late on pickup, they told me to update my eta....lol

Also, they will send you in the opposite direction. Its gonna get worse before it gets better.

I most definitely draw the line at being sent in the opposite direction, that's just being totally taken advantage of.
Lots here complain about how choice is going downhill, it won't help if we allow ourselves to be walked all over.

I just finished taking 10 days off and before I went on vacation, they had me drop my empty at the OC, but the work assignment also had me picking up an empty at the same OC before I could finish the task. Well I called in to double check they wanted me attached to a trailer for 10 days. Of course they didn't. So when I get back to he truck they took pick up empty from that OC off and had me bobtail 730 miles to a different drop yard that only had 4 trailers. Of course the 2 new ones had company trucks attached to them but they were home for a few days and the other 2 remaining trailers had a sunroof in one and 2 tires completely off the rim. Spent an hour on a trailer hunt and ended up being late for my live load and sat for another 2 hours to get loaded.

When I asked why can't I take an empty from the OC they said they were short. I told my icr if they were so short then why is the empty I dropped 10 days ago still sitting right where I left it. She had no answer. I think because sni has no real good way of tracking these trailers, they can't tell where they are at unless we send a message in saying its there. That's a pretty piss poor way of keeping track of once assets.

Bobtail 700 plus miles...welcome to delusionalville I may be a new IC but it will be a cold day before I waste those hours going 700 plus miles even for "box" pay.

To each his own on how we run our business but it was worth the drive for this load and it was paying $4k. But hey, I'm happy cashing in my $2k "checks" every week after expenses. Does that mean I'll dh that on a regular basis, heck no but for this week it fit my schedule and revenue requirements.

Bobtail 700 miles for an empty? What u smoking? And that 4k doesn't impress guys who have been out here a long time.. In the end you still dh 700 miles for an empty.. Lol that's crazy.. The only way that would make half way decent sense is if the load was 700 miles mty and at the most 700 miles loaded.. Other than that dont ever tell anybody you dh 700 for an empty lol... That sounds crazy:eek::eek:o_Oo_O

The time to stand up for ourselves was BEFORE we signed the agreement stating we allow them to send us where they want for an empty.

But then again those of us such as myself who was complaining BEFORE we signed the agreement was told by you and others that nothing would change it would be business as usual because the ICA said so.

See the time to stand up has passed the agreement has been implemented. I'm not saying let them walk all over you but be prepared for the fine if they so choose to fine you or anyone else.

I hate to say it but they have a signed agreement saying we will do these moves.

For those drivers who still believe they spent all that money on the new contract to not use it to their advantage and recoup costs...... please wake up.
