Many discussions about this but I thought I would bring another one up.
What appliances are people bringing into their trucks to cook real meals?
Any ideas for cooking meat? Which to cook and which to avoid?
Any good truck recipes you think others would love?
I use to have a painini grille for wraps but started cooking chicken on it, it worked good until I tried cooking steak. My truck stunk to high heaven for days and I don't have a good way to clean the grille.
What are you cooking with?

I use mobil delvac full synthetic for my steak grilling,it goes down well and protects my internal parts from friction sitting on vibrating seat all day long.

I have an igloo 12 volt cooler and a Burton butane stove. Both store very easy in the truck. I keep a folding tv tray behind the passenger seat to cook on. I have at least one window down while cooking. I cook simple one dish meals on the road. Picture is chicken curry with kale & spinach.

Truck stops really need to change the way they feed us. 2 1/3lb hot dogs for $3? Sell me a non-greasy, low-sodium, low-carb, non-fried, quick grab & go item and I'll pay you $10.
Ta, pilot, loves, Petro, flying j, sapp bros. I'm talking to u. -
I use a Coleman 12V cooler and a Road Pro lunchbox oven.
Tonight I'm making baked chicken breast with Rice-a-Roni and carrots. (although I am using a second oven for the carrots)
I can make hamburgers, sloppy joes, salmon, baked potato and many other things in it.
The chicken and salmon I buy in individually wrapped packages at Walmart. They can stay good in the Coleman for 4-5 days if they are in the coldest part of the cooler. -
An 11" electric skillet. 4 cup coffee pot, fridge, crockpot, microwave, hibachi and sometimes we'll bring the mini trager smoker.
I can do everything but bake. -
We have a rice cooker, butane burner, frying pan and a cuban coffe maker.
Mainly we do, rice, palomilla steak, canned latin beans and salad, mostly tomatoes, cucumbers and lettuce.
When we don't do steak we cook fish or chicken.
We only cook outside the truck but mostly we make the coffee inside since we don't cook every day.
We have fed many hungry drivers at truck stops
they come to our truck following the smell....
Some even make a quick trip to the local grocery store to get more steak if we run out, since we always make plenty of rice and beans.miss elvee Thanks this. -
Ive never understood people who eat out all the time. Complete waste of money.Lepton1, TBonze and BuckeyeKev Thank this. -
