I have also noticed sometimes a new person or someone known on the boards in a new name ask questions designed to start arguments. I have seen this several times now.

Are they both CDL driving jobs? If so there is a chance you could get caught, the HOS violation wouldn't be how they took you down, it's the perjury on Federal Documents that would get you. If one isn't a CDL job theirs really no way they'd every get you but my saying has always been if your first job doesn't pay enough, get a better first job, not a second one. Don't screw yourself up over something stupid.

Not let me go wash my car and not log duty time.
P.s. Only compensated work is to be logged.

People are going to do what they're going to do. If this is a real post do you think he's going to quit his weekend job because people on the internet said he could get in trouble? I doubt it. He's probably making a decent living with a little time for himself on the weekends plus the potential for making more money.

Also, maybe the OP isn't one of those who believe Big Brother FMCSA/DOT is watching him every minute, day and night.

Per Northern's example: you go on duty, PTI 15m, drive 10h, now it's 10:15 and you go to Obama break. Now it's 20:15, you can drive 3:45 more that day. You can work on duty before, after, or during your work day, you just have 11 hours drive time in your 14hr clock. You can work more, but you can't drive until you take a break. I believe a lot of combo drive/dock work gets into this? My work is all OTR, and it rarely comes up. I was misinformed by the refresher school I went to about work counting whether compensated or not, as Blackshack pointed out. Oh, I gotta go do some gardening. I guess my example of moving my brother is now OK as long as he doesn't buy me lunch or a 12pk. I'm pretty sure there won't be any talk of pay, by either party. We don't do that.
