I don't know where these truck manufacturers come up with some of their ideas let's put an antenna that can't be tuned into the truck and charge buyers extra for something they can't use , they could have put a much better digital TV antenna in had they not worried about making it a worthless cb antenna as well
rabbiporkchop, mike5511 and RollingThunder Thank this. -

I would settle for a good perch or place to mount an antenna. Their coax and antennas are all junk anyway. I always replace them.
-
Bird perch the only way to go I would try a centre loaded coil Antenna best of luck with your install

I've tried them all nearly........Top Loaded Fiberglass - as long as you can get away with will perform the best. The ONLY advantage I've found with the MonkeyMade type antennas is they are more broad banded. The down side on them is they cost more and thieves prefer them.

On the passenger side the bird perch unscrews if you hit a tree branch and on the drivers side the bird perch snaps off if you hit a tree branch causing your antenna to fly through the windshield of the vehicle behind you potentially impaling someone. This is a much stronger solution than a bird perch.
The Cascadia specific bracket is even better than the single bolt bird perch.
