A few decades ago, many people didn't drink water outside of a meal. Then beverage companies started bottling the production of far-off springs, and now office workers unthinkingly sip bottled water all day long.

 

Yeah... I was "afraid" of that...
You know, there's a region in the south of the state of Minas Gerais in Brasil, famous for their water parks.... with lots of natural sources of all kinds of mineral water... each one has different minerals and tastes.... folks go there to try the waters, drinking and also bathing... some are even used for medicinal purposes...
I have spent one full day there, drinking the different kinds of water, each one with very distinguished taste...

 

Interesting... I don't drink when I eat... and at least one hr after a meal... because it disturbs my stomach and my digestion...

 

Dasani (a Nestle brand) is just the local tap water that's been filtered and hit with a heavy slug of UV light before being bottled. Los Angles had a fit when Nestle applied for a permit to do that there... with the drought.

 

Well, I use to drink my meals...but I guess that's a different subject

 

Dad used to drink his meals too... meaning that he used to eat so fast.... Not very healthy though... food should be well chewed in the mouth and mixed with saliva before going down the throat..

 

Oh I found there to be no room left for food after my belly was full of whiskey and beer. Grain is a food group.

 

Ahhh... I gotcha now.... Whiskey and beer... What a combination...
I never liked alcohol.... but drank some in my young ages... Worst combination I made once was Cuba (like Rum) with Coke and then beer on top... Was 16 yrs old... Went to the beach with a guy... almost passed out.. when I laid down on the sand... my head started spinning.. and spinning... and I threw up soooooo much... but didn't move... Kept throwing sand on top of the vomit... and vomiting some more... but stayed right there... till guy dragged me to the water to wake me up... Never did that again... Hated to get drunk...

 

Still not sure if that's a good thing or not...

Except, when fruitcake is made right, it's good.

Mancala, trouble, sorry, clue, scrabble, monopoly, risk, rummikub, life, taboo, candy land.... So many games...

Now my better half and I play those games for nostalgia, but we change the rules up for some of them because adding alcohol increases the fun.

...for a select few...we may or may not add other things...

Gotta love it... Somebody was sitting a little too high on the saddle and had their head up their derrière.

It's just water with electrolytes. Nothing special.

I like the stuff, but that's mostly because I'm picky about water.

Grew up knowing what good water was, so city water is gross and most bottled water is too.

Water fresh from a well...that's good water.

I'm honestly thinking of doing a covert installation in my SNI truck so I can use an inverter...

Better half is wanting to talk me out of it because she knows I'm forgetful and unlucky. So I'd be likely to forget to remove the inverter and get caught with it...

Chattanooga, tn with a return load in the same city. Haven't been to this Jcp before I don't think and I know I haven't been to the return shipper. Should be an interesting day.
