They've closed the terminals in Oklahoma City, Jackson Ms, and La Vergne Tn, near Nashville.......What's next? -
Exactly! and dont ever, ever apply on one of those trucker websites, you know where you leave your resume, because they will call you and call you and bug you senseless. You caller-ID will show up with stuff like "Driver Services" or "Driverfinders" or something similar--when you tell them to quit calling you, they still do and unless you threaten them to stop with a court or a complaint to the Do-Not-Call list, then plan on them calling every 2-4 days. Last time, they called me, I explained to them nicely that I was reporting them to the DO-Not-Call list(which I have been on for at least 5 years), their response was "We are exempt from that" Well, they are not-since I did not ask them to call and they do not fit the 4 exceptions legally or technically. I filed their number and have been call-free from JB for more than 2 years, so obviously it does work. You are correct, their recruiters are some of the most rude people that you will EVER have the pleasure of talking to!

You would be wrong. JB Recruiters are paid 30K a year salary plus commissions and tons of bonuses. The average recruiter makes about 65K- 75K a year. Quite a few make 6 figures and the top recruiter makes an unbelievable 340K a year.
If you want the truth about anything they do over there, Im happy to answer you. There is a lot of wrong information in this thread. You respect me, I will respect you. I spent many many years as a recruiter there. Just recently moved on about a month ago for a new career direction.
Personally, I loved it there. It was a great job and I did very well at it.
Let me point out a few of the things I see wrong on here. I see people saying we are trained to lie. That couldnt be more wrong. We are monitored all the time. If one of the VPs or even Craig Harper is listening to us and he hears us lie, we would be fired immediately. Now, do some recruiters lie? Absolutely. I saw many get fired for it. There are liars in every job. You drivers say recruiters always lie, we recruiters say you drivers always lie. In my many years as a recruiter, talking to 100s of drivers everyday. There wasnt a day that went by where I wasnt lied to by at least 20 drivers. There wasnt a week that went by, where hours and hours of my time was wasted because a driver lied to me. Am I bitter about it? Not at all. Dealing with liars on both sides is just part of the business.
Some of you might ask why recruiters are paid so much over at JB. I will answer that for you. Because its a very very hard job. The average length of recruiter employment there is about 6 months. Many people just cant do the job. The upper managment and execs of JB know that they have to pay very well to get the people that can do the job well. The recruiters over there come from all sorts of backgrounds and educational levels. Most are college educated. Many including myself have advanced degrees like MBAs. However, I have seen some people with no college at all, but a lot of sales experience come in there and do very well. Basically the reason we were paid so well is because we had a skill that a lot of people couldnt do, and we generated a hell of a lot of money for the company.
Ive seen people on this board say they are really making the "company insiders" at JB angry with this website. Well, not exactly. Most of the people in the office find this website pretty #### funny. Threads about JB on here get passed around the office in emails and everyone kind of laughs about it. I know the recruiter who started this thread personally. He was one of the top recruiters in the company and still recruits drivers, although he has his own company now. Hes been gone from JB for about 4 months. Yes, the managment knew about this thread and who started it. They didnt get angry. It was more like "if you are going to play out there with them, try to be a little more respectful". And that was the end of it.
Ok, so if anyone wants to ask me questions about how things really are, Im happy to answer. You respect me, I will respect you. I no longer recruit drivers, so you can be assured that I will be truthful.IGM 462 Thanks this. -
Now, before you ask "why dont JB recruiters say they are from JB hunt on their websites?" Although JB Recruiters are allowed to purchase their own leads and market any website they want, they are not allowed to use the JB Hunt name or logo on their sites. Believe me, when I ran my website, I would have loved to have been able to say I was from JB on it. It would have saved me from wasting a lot of time with certain types of drivers. -

I hope this MasterRecruiter gets un-banned. I would like to hear some more of how things work, and the thought and mind set from the other side of the fence.
I didn't see anything wrong with his post as far as content, but I am sure he didn't run things through this sites owner and come to a meeting of the minds before he posted.
Maybe a behind the scene agreement can be brokered like was made with the other recruiter that used to be on here from JB.
Information is golden, and this sheds some light on where JB's priority is as far as who they think is worth more to the company. -
I banned him until Cybergal or Wiseone looks at his status in the morning and they will take it from there but I'm sure they will let him back.
-
I thought that was what happened. It's good to see people on their toes to keep potential trolls and troublemakers out.
This person probably is not one, but being who he is, he should make his intentions clear to the boss first.
Thanks for your response.
