I found another pdf on Passmart. The check engine light flashing is EXACTLY how it warns you about the rampdown.

I don't know, maybe because anyone getting a call from a company driver just assumes they're trying to defeat the safety settings versus trying to learn something? Or she doesn't want to become known as more of a pest by asking even more stuff after dealing with the truck exchange? Or maybe taking their attention away from an important solitaire game?

FFS, I own the company and the trucks, and still have to plow through a mountain of BS with dealers and techs for a simple answer sometimes.

My feeling exactly. No point in shooting yourself in the foot if you don't have to. :)

And the next PM when the hook it up they will discover it anyway.

My guess it it's been activated since they got the truck, so if it hasn't been "discovered" before, it probably won't be.

The truck I had at Stevens had been assigned to a senior driver. It was supposed to be set to 64 for non senior drivers but it was overlooked. They hooked the truck up every time in Dallas and it never hit the radar.

Now if she gets dinged for overspeed again, they may take a closer look lol.

It really must be an obscure, seldom used setting as Google didn't pull up much about it.

    TruckDuo and RedForeman Thank this.
