Some people would prefer to be home every day and make an extra $100,000 a year.
-
truckon Thanks this.

Would you rather make $180,000 a year and be home every day working a 12 hour shift 6 days a week or would you rather be away from your family all week and only be home on weekends if you're lucky making $80,000 a year? Which one would you rather do? It makes perfect sense to me.

The oil field business and the cheap freight business are two different worlds. Not everybody wants to haul cheap freight for pennies on the dollar

You must sit at the TS lunch counter.Skate-Board and HalpinUout Thank this. -
Where can you make that $180k at?
-
I make close to that at a common carier with more time off and less bs . Thats why i dont work there and i can qualify to their standards .

I only know of one company right now at the moment where you can make that kind of money. Power Fuels in Watford City North Dakota you could probably average 5 to $600 a day. Tesoro in Watford City North Dakota you could probably average about $2,700 a week working 84 hours a week.
One man's good paying job is another man's drastic pay cut . I hope that answers the question why not not everyone in the world wants to drive a Walmart truck and be away from their family for $80,000 a year .Last edited by a moderator: Dec 9, 2015
