1.5 miles....but ,it's far enough to keep the industry away from my neighborhood.

Is this once a week or so for an OTR job, or every day?
Either way I'd say it's too long.

Daily. I'm not a driver. It is long though, but I like where I live.

Try it for about six months. Keep track of all of your vehicle expense for your commute. Then in six months, take a look at the numbers and see if it works out. That is, IF you can take the commute after driving and working a long day.

That's OK damil, it won't be too long until you are so wise that you don't know, or remember anything. J(ust like a lot of us here.):D

Waaaaay back in the dark ages, I used to work an indoor job. I had a 25 mile commute each way, which I made on a motorcycle. I found that coming home from work, it was great. I was nice and relaxed by the time I got home. The big problem was that going to work, it was a fight with myself every day to see if I'd go to work, or just keep riding.

My last job before retiring, I had a nine mile commute for local P & D. It wasn't bad at all, but then it wasn't inter-city driving. Neither was my job.

About 45 minutes of my 2.5 hour one-way is driving. If it weren't for the ridiculous amount of miles I would rack-up and the traffic, I would drive the whole commute. I work in NYC - live in south Jersey.
