Original pickup appt was 1900, I squawked for earlier appt and got noon, showed up and got told appt not changed, called Dispatch, ended up with 1500 appt and detention from 1200 because of shipper screwup. Gotta head from North Platte to Salt Lake City with this one; praying weather doesn't screw me over. Due Thursday morning (stop in Ogden 0730 THEN SLC 0900). Picking up from Masonite so hopefully enough weight to be useful.

 

27K pounds in the box. Stopping just short of Cheyenne. 'Bout 9 hours or so to SLC, gonna spend the night there and deliver on schedule.

 

APU acting up and truck won't idle. Batteries no good and getting worse. Been griping about this since I got this $#@&!! POS.

 

Well, been stuck here in Cheyenne all $#@&!! day. Load is failed due to weather. Lousy day.

 

Service fail due to weather, not charged to driver.

 

Made it to SLC on schedule, told to drop and grab a load headed to Coppell TX due Sunday morning. Load is not here. Reclining in my Fruit Of The Looms, check in morning for load and we'll see about on time delivery depending on if load is here or not when I get up. Gotta go back through Moab but thinking it won't be quite so much fun this time. Because winter.
