it was funny, FD .... but Red has a point.... the Navy was very strict about what area we could be in at Rio .... it really is a dangerous place ..... unfortunately it seems like the whole world is getting more that way all the time ..... no where and no when was ever all that safe but the threats are mounting and becoming more frequent it seems to me ....

 

Did they tell you the Girl From Ipanema probably isn't?

 

I had a lady in cali once in a nice red convertable in LA, she passed me going to town on her phone texting. I gave my horn a little toot and she jumped and that phone went strait up in the air, the wind caught it and wam down the road it went. I got the finger afterwords but I was laughing so hard I just did not care.

 

I try to use some discretion with it and take into account traffic around me when I do. Really hate to deny them but sometimes it's better not to just so you don't startle the moron on your other side from his text message

When I had a van full of Purdue cuties wanting it coming around Chicago a couple months ago it didn't matter traffic was thick and heavy lol how could I deny them?

The funniest ones for me are the old folks I occasionally get that want it.

 

Or the cute girls who will flash you. That happened to me literally the 2nd day I was driving a truck. I thought man THIS IS AWESOME!!

It hasn't happened since.

That was back in '91, not that I recall though. The whole squadron mainly hung out at this one club with a german name ..... several gals there, no worries about any fakes .... now if you were stupid, there's a section in Pattaya Beach Thailand that specializes in "Benny Boys" , that's what they call TS's, TV's there .... only place I ever went where there were more Tourists than the 10,000 guys from the Battle Group. Thousands of Europeans ( lots of Germans ) on vacation.
