That may be, but they have a well developed sense of what's fair in the distribution of said treats.

Best is advertising on tv for drivers. Superior pay and hometime. How much the president and Ceo cares for drivers by meeting with them each week. I'm guessing if it was that good they wouldn't be running tv ads. The company isn't that big. Don't know much about them other than vaguely remembering a not so glowing thread on here a long time ago.

Hope that doesn't give swift and Werner ideas. Could you imagine those ads? lol

 

There isn't enough money in either parties marketing budgets to retain the caliber of ad agency required for that kind of trickery.

 

We don't need TV ads... we bought the 2 largest trucking schools!

 

computer wasn't dumping the fuel to it was probably why. it adjust the fuel rate with the boost pressure. less boost less fuel.

 

I've gotta say "Thanks" to Swift though.... they gave their drivers a 2¢ raise a few months ago... that made our penny pinchers give our drivers one too. When I got my CDL in '94 it was a toss up between Swift and Werner... I went with Swift because they paid a penny more @25... I came to Werner in '12 and they were starting new drivers at 26¢... a whopping increase of 2¢ in 18 years! Effective 1 Jan, Werner is going up another 4¢ to 32. O/Os supposedly just got another 8¢ across the board, but I ain't seen it yet.

 

Sounds hard to swallow no matter how much salt and pepper you put on it.
