When I worked in receiving at a Walmart store I had the option of refusing a dry I grocery load until they were scheduled which was anytime after 1700. If it was a whole trailer and a drop and hook, no problem. I would the sign the drivers copy, hand him a new set of bills if it was a pallet back haul and send him on his way.
If it was a partial load and I didn't have room, I would tell the driver to hit the bunk until the afternoon. The Walmart drivers didn't like being refused lol.
