Will u define lose pay if you let your trk roll faster then the required speed how much pay do u lose?sounds like this is swifts way not paying the drivers in full and making a huge profit to boot.bet alot of companies do this.so does swift fire if you get too many over speed warnings?

I'm not a snitch. And I agree with you about truckers who tailgate. I didn't call to complain about that truck, I called to complain about ALL of their trucks. I have only done that once, but I see Prime trucks nearly cause wrecks all the time. I called because I was just curious how often they get rear ended. Granted, if there had been a wreck, it would've been the car's fault. But running that slow in a 65 or 70 mph zone is just asking for trouble. Do you disagree that a truck running that much slower than legal speed is unsafe, given perfect conditions?

Firsthand experience on this subject. Never lost any pay with Swift when going over the limits they set, but I believe 62 is the truck governed now, +2/3mph gets you safety marked, +5mph will get you immediately hauled off the road for re-education, and if you let it roll higher than that you're probably getting fired. My numbers may be a little off as they are a couple years older than this drivers. I believe there is also somewhere between 3 and 5 minute overspeed window. To many people were ending up in safety class for getting blindsided by downhills.

You lose pay by losing your rating as company driver usually, never heard of a company able to fine their employees directly. You could drop from .42cpm+ to .32 pretty quickly if you like to let it roll over 62 for more than a minute or two. Any use of the brake will show you are slowing down, and reset the timers etc as soon as you bring it back down.

    pattyj Thanks this.
