We've all been in precarious situations in a truck. The true professional gets out of those predicaments unscathed.

Don't feel too bad. At least your GPS didn't stick you on a pedestrian bridge like that PTL driver in Milwaukee.
Whatever happened to calling the receiver for end route directions, or at least listening to that little voice in the back of your head that's saying "Hey, this might not be such a great idea."

Hmmmm??? yeah I do not think it is Swifts fault for the incident that is on the driver. However I do find it interesting that when you see a different thread where a driver feels he has not been trained enough asking for advice and drivers post that he should suck it up its not that hard etc etc and then a driver posts about making a mistake that cost him his job and people ridicule him for making a mistake...

Every training company good and bad has new drivers that do things that should have never happened then they blame the company.ONce training is over so is the babysitting.take responsibility for what you did and learn from it.
Canned Spam, HalpinUout and xlsdraw Thank this. -
I wish I had a dollar for every time my GPS said "turn right" , or something similar , and i looked in that direction and INSTANTLY knew that there was NO WAY I was going through there because it didn't look promising to begin with , or my INSTINCTS told me that that wasn't gonna work out in my favor.
I've been able to SEE a consignee and not be able to get to them with a truck route before. GPS doesn't care.
I learned long ago that the GPS will send you on a city street or into a "park" because it's NOT designated "no trucks".
This is where common sense comes in.
Not trying to beat on you , but YOU did this ... not Swift.YachtMan, Canned Spam, HalpinUout and 1 other person Thank this. -
