Yup, the last mileage pay company I worked for was the same way. The miles were always less on the return trip.

Well shoot. Got to the yard. Put everything in the truck. Parked the car. Went to do my pretrip...flat drive tire...non the less I'm waiting on a mechanic. It's odd though. I was for sure they'd have me drive it somewhere for repair since I'm bobtail. And more odd that we have an account with the "boss" shop 1 mile down the road. Oh well. I just do what I'm told

Ok, night number two for an all nighter. Drove from 9pm last night to 7am this morning. Now I have to drive 8pm to 6am tonight. When I'm done tomorrow in Maumee Ohio I'm calling in to dispatch to voice my displeasure about this, especially when I run into 3 different drivers who tell me they don't run nights and Abilene knows it. Just John does it. I'll do it 2 nights in a row, that's it.

Well, it's easier to find parking during the day... lol ... I ran until 3am and was hard pressed to find a spot. But I did... Finally

About to head to Florence, SC to swap trailers and then head to Palm Springs and Miami....

Hey John, want me to swing by your place and introduce myself to the Mrs??? (We might be putting our house in Boynton Beach up for sale... Maybe she knows someone in the area that is involved in Real Estate... lol)

    Stay Safe,

Phase one started today, started the process to get into school to get my CDL. Then phase two retirement on the 11th, then phase 3, class starts on the 28th. It's starting to set in now, the Navy will soon be behind me and this new adventure is taking shape.

Yes, he has a lot of folks that do the NE. And me, who tries to avoid going any further up than NJ! LOL He's ok. Sometimes a little too laid back, but usually has your back on things.

Parking isn't an issue on the night shift, it everything else that gets messed up, like eating, bathroom, and everyone calling or texting after I tell them I'm going to bed. And now yet another all nighter. My 10 is up at 7pm, I have a two hour drive to load, then I need to be in some little town 30 miles south of Wytheville at 6am. This sh&@t is getting old real fast. The night shift is bad enough, but when I'm only doing 500-600 miles per day, then it ain't worth it. Tomorrow after I get empty I'll be on the phone with someone in the office voicing my displeasure about this.

If you need to talk to a realtor, I'll have my wife call you. She will help you out with the sales commission if you want to sell, plus you'll have a 20 year, knowledgeable agent that's a 35 year resident of the area, who happens to be married to me.
