Yeah because they are registered as recreation or rv. And I'd love to upgrade to a class A CDL, but I don't have the money for school, kinda a bad time for me to try to go to a company, and trying to find someone to lend a truck is hard. If I could find someone to lend a truck and help teach me more knowledge of it would be great. Would have my dad do it, but him and mom are driving expedite trucks so mom can have her class B. They also stay out 5-6 weeks. So not much time there which I understand.

If you don't have the money to upgrade to a class A how it the world are you going to obtain a truck and trailer. Then pay for insurance, tags and all the other things associated with running a truck?

I'm no thinking about buying a truck I was just asking a question. I plan on buying one just not anytime soon. Plus I'd rather gather more knowledge and get experience before plunging in. My dad's own trucks and there is no testing the waters in it. You either plung into it or not.

You don't have to go to school to get your CDL.

You don't have to go to school to get your CDL, but you do need access to a truck and trailer. That could be difficult unless you know someone who will rent or loan you their equipment. If you purchase your own equipment, that should not be an issue. Some carriers like to see a minimum amount of driving time before they will hire a driver. However, there are carriers that will put you with a trainer for a short time if you already have your CDL.

Start in a non cdl straight truck for a company that also has cdl straight trucks. You don't even need air brakes on your license. Get your class b with one of those cdl trucks. Next get a job driving a dump truck. Get your class a with that company's dump truck and pup trailer.
Boom. Class A with no school.
