I'm currently there now. I really like the school. It's more than just "we're gonna give you the answers, memorize them". They help you understand why you need the answers. It's like a real school. You're in a dorm, unless you live in Indianapolis. Then you can go home. They provide breakfast, lunch, and dinner every day. The school lasts for anywhere between 3 1/3 - 7 weeks depending on how you learn.
Everyone helps everyone when it comes to studying. Celadon will reimburse your travel to the school if they don't provide it. They reimburse permit fees and physical fees.
It's paid orientation when you do go after you're done with the school and ready to go on the road, $125 that week.
You're contract says you have to drive for them for 120,000 miles after you've completed the school, if you team, your team mates miles count. It's done in half the time.
I would definitely recommend this school if you want a good education to get a career. As for them as a company, I don't know if I'm going to stay with them after my contract is up, but until then, I'll be enjoying this education from people that care that you succeed.

Beautiful country....well, Snow Bird was.

I used to be a trainer there. It's a good place for someone starting out to get some experience, learn the ropes.
Just my $0.02 here: Don't let them hypnotize you into a lease, or worse, try to convince you to be a trainer (they like to get people fresh out of their school). You'll have your hands full your first year or so learning your trade.
Best of luck to you, and keep us posted!! Nice to see some posts that aren't just bashing.Bama Mama and mountaingote Thank this. -
I don't plan on leasing. I Would rather not be completely responsible for a truck. I know how they are when you're actually on the road. They're all about profit and money, but they also aren't ALL bad.mountaingote and SHOJim Thank this.
