Talk about a tank of a car... Grandmother has a Mercedes...
Couple of them actually... Mercedes 300D... That thing hauls decent ### for a 1.75 ton car, but it handled like a tank.
It's weird...for all these add ons of plastic outsides and lighter frames you'd think newer cars would weigh less. Apparently not...
I hate Peoplenet, where are you parked and recipes thread

Okay...stagecoach story. Nobody asks for them so I'm just gonna tell one anyway!
I was with Metallica coming across the bottom of TX at about 1:00AM and we were heading into two days off in Atlanta so I had it in the wind. The guys were in the front lounge partying and had the stereo CRANKED. I caught a shadow out of the corner of my eye and W H A M!! A HUGE owl hit dead center on the windshield in front of me. Glass flew everywhere and a lot of it stuck in my face but fortunately I closed my eyes the split second it hit so I had a few shards in my eyelids, but none in my eyes themselves. It sounded quite literally like a cannon going off, and the music went off immediately and I heard the guys saying "Doc! Are you okay!?". The thing was, this owl head was protruding through the windshield and it reminded me of a Wiley Coyote cartoon because he started sliding slowly down until he disappeared. The only reason he didn't just come all the way in was because he was so friggin' big his wingspan covered almost the whole front of the bus......so there I was......on the side of the interstate with about a six inch hole in my windshield, bits of glass all in my face, and a bunch of guys wanting to get to their days off. What did I do? I got back on the road and away we went! Of course it got more involved from there but I don't want to give it all away at once. Wouldn't want you getting bored. Suffice it to say the story is far from over.RedForeman, Picture.Taker, truckon and 9 others Thank this. -

Alright...so I've got a weird question or two.
I loved how my Columbia smelled, there's something about the diesel exhaust...but I couldn't tell you what.
The evolution I have now...smells terrible. DEF completely killed it. Anyone else feel the same?
Oh...and for the weird one... Noticed when I go under a low clearance bridge...I subconsciously duck. -
