This is quite possibly true. :biggrin_1square9:
Learning what was productive, and I can guarantee it had nothing to do with warranty work on tractors or service trucks :biggrin_25522:

    In reference to Oldsmobiles -
My mom had a '78 Oldsmobile when I was a baby. Someone rear-ended her doing around 50mph as she was turning into our driveway ... my stuffed animal flew forward & hit the windshield and she thought it was me (edit to add - I was fine, even still smiling in my car seat, she said). Guess it's a good thing it was a tough car. Turned out the guy who hit her was drunk, and had been in an accident 6 months earlier, also drunk, that killed his wife. :biggrin_25513:

I owned one of these briefly. 1990 Oldsmobile Touring Sedan. Basically a 98 without the chrome, with foglamps, leather bucket seats, horseshoe floor shifter and the FE-3 suspension with self leveling airbags.

When I busted the seatbelt buckle, I found the only replacement I could find came out of a 1988 Cadillac DeVille. While the rest of the 98 lineup anchored the seatbelts to the floor, the Touring Sedan anchored them to the seat assembly. The only other vehicle I found with the belts mounted to the seat was the Cadillac. I figure the Buick Electra T Type probably did too but those were even more rare than the touring sedan.

So my touring sedan had a caddy wreath on the drivers belt buckle, lol.
