    UltraZero, we're trying to get at something here. You ask these questions looking for clear cut answers. The simple truth is, not just weights, and dimensions, everything varies state to state/ province to province.

    Do you need lift controls in the cab or outside? Depends on where you're running.

    Down here we run them inside the cab, both up-down and the regulator. Elsewhere, that gets you a ticket.

    And yes, the vast majority of us who do oversize and heavy haul are ########. Just a heads up.

    Is there any additional hardware/automatic regulator that will achieve the +/- 10% split?

    Example If the loaded weight on the drive axles are 50K
    Are we saying 50K/3 is about 16.6K per axle and you need to be within +/- 10% of the 16.6K so you can be roughly 1,660lbs off? Either 18,260 or 14,940 roughly??

    If this is correct, sounds like the Lift axle is actually cheating you from achieving a higher weight capacity. The limit would be the lift axle. 20K would only allow up to about 50K(roughly) because of the +/- split as appose to straight number where you have 3 axles down with a gross of 60K (Using 40K axles as an example) But, I suppose you would not want to have to lift the axle under for any reason with 60K. Transferring 20k over the mfg specs surely might send you to the shop for a replacement axle or 2.

    They make a regulator that compensates for axle differences. I have the part number somewhere, it's not adjustable on the fly you set it for proper distribution and leave it. It works pretty good, I bypassed mine and hooked up a regular regulator.
