I recently witnessed first hand ,a person I actually admire for his honesty and professionalism, resign his position, from a 100+ stock quote company . To a 15 (split upside down ) stock quote company. He is also in line with a 15% give back when he takes his new position with his new company. He told me higher ups,(that's a clue) told him on a number of occasions that he is below that of snail scum. Was it this kind of pressure that made him move to a precarious position ,imo. trucking management job?! Far be it for drivers and the like to really care I guess. But the only other alternative is his old company is ready to shed some dead weight. I'm being vague for a reason. But hell I'll just come right out and post it;
Is UPS ready to drop UPS freight altogether?!
It can't be that bad? Can it?

I reckon this is fair to ask... Have you ever met a lot lizard that takes everything off before asking if you want a good time?
Next water cooler gossip you decide to share here, keep it a mystery, at least until enough people are ready to die from not knowing.
Jeez.
#### UPS freight, I've had 2 memorable close calls in my driving career. Both from UPS train gangs being ####ing morons.TruckDuo and mountaingote Thank this. -

I personally know 3 city men who have quit UPS Freight in the past year. And these guys had boatloads of seniority. So if high seniority guys are giving up the best paying LTL job plus a UPS pension, that says alot right there.
Word on the street is that UPS runs that place like the US Marine Corps. Hell, if it were me, I'd "to the rear, harch" it right the hell out of there myself. Linehaul is another matter those guys don't have to put up with as much BS as the city guys. Money isn't everything and if you have connections and keep a clean CDL in this business, another good job is waiting around the bend.MattyB6T Thanks this. -
we're getting another regional manager, the last one was fired, He has an inferiority complex. I can tell that just by the stipulations he is presenting........squeaky wheels get the grease....not sure if bull### will do the same.

Were you at Overnite before the buyout? Most of the UPS Freight guys I run into say it was way better working there when it was Overnite. It seems like a lot of them are just biding their time, trying to just tolerate it as best they can until retirement.

This might not be relevant to the thread, but I've noticed the UPS Freight line haul guys driving similar to Fed Ex Ground lately. Maybe it's been a coincidence, but it sure seems like they're in a big hurry.
