    Yeah there's a specific term...essentially a Non-TWIC holder fee. Allows you to still enter/exit.

Maybe if it's some super top secret facility, or an ammunition facility. But any other base this is simply not true.

Make sure you do not try to sneak in a firearm. You don't want to know that kind of trouble. Don't try to hide it and get caught.

felon will not get into Ft Campbell

It has been more than 45 days since Fort Campbell implemented new vetting requirements mandated by the Department of the Army for entry into the installation and early statistics[IMG]released by the Fort Campbell Directorate of Emergency Services are alarming.

As of July 14, non-CAC holders to include visitors to Fort Campbell were no longer granted access to the installation with a simple scanning of their driver’s license. Individuals were now required to submit themselves to be vetted through the National Crime Information Center law enforcement database to determine eligibility to enter the post.

“The statistics show that this new measure is effective in helping us secure the post,” said Col. David “Buck” Dellinger, Fort Campbell garrison commander. “In a 30-day period we prevented more than 260 people from coming on post who would have otherwise made it onto post. The new regulations are explicit in limiting access to those who have been convicted for violent felony crimes or other significant crimes against society.”

For the 30-day period of July 14 through Aug. 16, 263 individuals were denied access to Fort Campbell. As of Sept. 6, that number had risen to 380.

A total of 411 felony convictions were discovered during that 30-day time period, which included 13 murder/homicide convictions, 155 drug felonies with intent to sell or distribute, 17 sex offenses, child abuse, as well as more than 30 other categories.

They do a quickie background check, most felonies mean they won't let you on base. You'll have to pop the hood and anything else that opens and they'll look for foreign objects or contraband. You'll need registration for truck and trailer (can get interesting when the trailer registration is permanently affixed).

After all that you'll probably get turned around and sent out to the street to go in a different gate closer to where you'll deliver. The guard there will ask if you checked in at the truck gate, then wave you through. At least that what happened every time I've gone to a military base.
