I know im gonna catch hell for this question but #### it. Im local, company, no elogs, hourly with ot after 8. I did otr a long time ago. Now my question. What does regulations on business have to do with freedom? Its not your freedom of speech, or your right to carry a gun, or freedom of religion. Its a regulation pertaining to a certin type of commerce. The FDA isint curtailing freedom by regulating beef. I dont agree with e log mandate but what the bloody hell does it have to do with freedom? Oh your a o/o and you want the freedom to break current laws becuse you dont agree with them? I think the hos is all bull. One man gets tierd after 6 hrs and another could turn out 15 before getting tierd. I think they should do away with the lot. I agree it has nothing to do with safety, but what does freedom have to do with it.

Glad I kept my 94 and dropped the DPF retrofit. But not to say, I don't run out of hours casuse I'm local but I have gotten hung up at jobsites when cranes break down and you have to wait and have gone over my 14 but not by much. I finally got a break from the government.

Because it's our constitutional right to oppose laws that restrict our decisions to do whatever the hell we want. If I want a god #### lollipop after 10pm then I'm gonna have one. If a god #### lollipop safety committee made up out of sissy's say lollipops after 10pm isn't safe, then God Bless America because my rights say I can sue the government for infringing in my right to satisfy my desire to eat candy!

honestly it violates many of your constitutional amendments as in right to privacy and illegal search and seizures, now i know you will say how, they will be able to check your logs by Bluetooth in many cases, if they do this without your consent and you know they will, its sort of in the same realm of taxation without representation also due to its dictating not where but how you MUST spend your money towards logging, all in the name of saying its more cost effective for the "drivers". i could go on and on and on and list things it violates but those are just some

How is Ilegal search? Your driving a truck that at anytime your moving, you can pulled over for no reason. Is it illegal search to check inspection records? Dont matter if its a hospital a meat packing plant or a cmv. Regs are regs. Yeah there stupid, and on the take. But if regs say you need to be under 80 grand, do you ignore that? Or do you say i have room, pile it on to 100,000 lbs? Im beting you keep it under 80. Why? Becuse its a reg. Im lost here. The gov mandates the hos of ER doctors, pilots, us, and others im pprob not aware of. The ability to verify the hos via elog is a direct response to bs lawsuits, special intrest, lobbists, and genral stupidity. Along with the paper log "renagades" personaly i dont really care, it will blow up in there face when cattle start dying excc... its a business, and the gov tells all business how to work. Is it a infringment of freedom to require workmans comp insurance? Or lunch breaks? How far does the idea of freedom infringment go?

the fact of the matter that they could as in have the opportunity to check your logs via bluetooth without your knowledge makes it fall under an illegal search, as in sitting in truck stop checking elogs of drivers fueling or sleeping etc etc

The real problem is otr off time isint really off time. Your always at work. The truck stops and all of a sudden your a 9 to 5 office worker? There mandating how long, not when, there should be differant programs with different hos for different types of trucking. With common sense fixs. Hey dispatch, the cranes broke. I have 3 hours left on my 14. Send a message to my elog that im going to shut down for the next 5 hours and will pick back up my 3 hours then. But that would be to compicated for these brain dead rule writers on the hill
