i got both of them calling me but i want to know what will get me home more. The money isnt a big deal, i know the pay will suck at both but i just have to get my feet wet and need to stay in the northeast.

I'd go Schnieder first, then Swift, then any 20-30 other companies before considering Western Express. Unless of course you already know you can't drive, have a bunch of tickets, and/or are mentally ill. Then, by all means, Western Express is your jam.

Swift will be glad to have you on Northeast Regional.About the only company I'd put below Western Express is CRE.

Prime and NFI both have Northeast regional.

Crete/Shaffer has a northeast regional and pays pretty good too.

Tim it will depend on where you live and what the freight is like around you. For me I'm in Northern New York and the only one that has freight up in this area and would likely get me home time is Swift or Werner. Werner is the dollar stores and Swift has a number of dedicated in my area. I don't see many WE trucks come through here. It is a decision that you have to make for your own situation. Find the freight and then go from there. A company that services your area may have better home time options than one that doesn't. If you never see a certain truck in town than that might be a clue to find a company that you do see.
