Except for the troll, whom she would like to see jump on a 10-speed to discover the seat is missing. :D with his feet stuck in the peddle straps as he starts down a 20% grade that's 10 miles long and no brakes left on the bike

Been awhile since I've been to king supers but, no over night parking available on lit but, used to be a lot, bout a 100 yards from there you could park at. For what it's worth, this info is @ 5years old.

Thanks Panhandle--I stopped at a Love's about 30mi short to take a leak and spotted a big, beautiful parking space (2 of them side by side--had to be a sign from Above) so I backed in while the parking was good, and am relaxing in my Fruit Of The Looms for 8 hours. I'll ease it on outta here around 0545 local for an 0700 appt.

Roads coming in here were snowy, and my hands were tight on the wheel as I lost traction twice on overpasses. Also my truck seems to be like the Mecca for stupid people. Hot Chick was white knuckling it in the easy seat as super trucker after super trucker passed us at ridiculous speeds. One guy locked them up and almost jacknifed trying not to hit the snow plow we were behind as he blew by us and tried a quick lane change to weave around it.

Hot Chick made high pitched squealing sounds and squirmed in the seat.

I didn't tell her about losing traction.

    Errrkkkk...blorrpp...aackkk...FRRRRRRRRRRRPPPPPP--aaaahhhhh.

Okay, let's get some chow, let's slug some coffee, then let's get this wagon train moving.

(Gonna start my clock at 0545. Maybe they'll quit trying to force me to be a Night Stalker.)

25 min checking in at gate, 15 min line to receiving desk, then the clerk tries to tell me I'm late.

Sigh... That just never gets old--not even a little bit.

Convinced the clerk not to cut my throat, got a door, been here 2 hrs and hoping like crazy they're almost done since I need to go make poopies and the "bathroom" they offer drivers is an ancient Porta Potty that hasn't been serviced since 2005 and has no toilet paper and has achieved a sanitation level of "science experiment gone wrong."

Grocery warehouses are the reason I quit hauling reefer.

On the plus side, it quit snowing and I didn't have to pay the lumpers.

So I got that going for me.

    Which is pretty good.

Lunch at Dennys (treating myself to a steak) then a much needed shower and shave.

    Then, we wait.

With the weather systems approaching from all sides it could be a long wait.

    Bring it on.

Was supposed to be headed West, my dispatcher went home--surprise, Heartland planner says I'm going to Kansas City. Not a problem, except it's a live load, 2200 tomorrow. Again with the daily mileage limit. I asked about it and was told Heartland wants me on Midwest regional and shut up about it. I said regional is no problem but couldn't I do 2 of these short runs a day to get in my 500 miles. He says I'd best get used to working part time because the OTR driver is a dinosaur and no matter how much my dispatcher tries to fight him on it he's keeping me on a short leash.

I think I've found the problem.
