It is ridiculous that a company as big as Gordon/Heartland does not have a load for you until 22:00 tomorrow night.
    Way too much down time.
Trucking has a rhythm. You need to find a productive rhythm.

Anytime you let the Planners be in charge of dispatch the driver loses. The Planner cares zero about the driver, only that the load is delivered and he gets his commission.

Whatever happened to you becoming that dispatcher's "project"?

It's time to call it Zoomy, we all did when Heartless took over. It's a darn shame, but it is what it is. I know you'll land in a good home. Hell, Lessors just might be looking for a good driver, a hot chick and a goat out of Indy.....

Haven't heard back except for a phone interview about when everything started heading south. Hasn't been long.

Celadon was a much better place to work as far as staying in a productive rhythm. Main reason I left them was pay rate. Their wage lock thing they're doing now seems to have addressed that issue.

I won't jump ship lightly but if I do it'll probably be back to those guys; I left on good terms. I'm going to give it just a little more time here, like a week or two. I get the feeling Gordon is fighting for me, but someone in the Machine has put me behind the power curve.

I hate jumping ship; I've done it way too much in the past 18 months.

Celadon now has a pet policy for company drivers.

Phredd might be replaced by a Chihuahua named Aristotle. Or Godzilla.

Power curve? Interesting way to put it. What is it with these planners? Some seem to have huge egos.

If you are going to make a move, what about Abilene? They raised driver pay not that long ago. Check out FTC Transportation out of OK. Pay was kinda low, but a 30 truck fleet and some extra freedoms. Recruiter is Scott.

Might check them out, thanks for the tip.

Main reason I'm leaning toward Celadon is I already have a decent relationship with them. And the application process is a quick phone call.

    Still, a quick look-see can't hurt.
