there should be more having guns on their possesion now then maybe those terrorist in Calif would have got wasted before any of those victims did.I use to be for gun control laws but not anymore.

 

Every base you will ever go too will let you declare your firearm and has a secured lockbox at the gate to store it in. They are not even going to ask for permits regardless of the state, they operate under federal law not state law.

It has been my experience that most will thank you for letting them know and send you right in.

 

I have heard that about bases. My issue is my company sometimes goes to a nuclear power plant and also the Cook County IL jail in Chicago, I can't see that one going well....

 

That's not necessarily true. Perusing gun forums on the topic you will find that a number of military installations will not hold your gun for you.

 

There is a federal carry permit! It's called the second amendment, you can legally carry in every state by federal law, just not state law

 

I don't know about cook county jail, but I have delivered to a Prison in Indiana that had you store knifes and firearms in a lock box...

 

Company I have my truck leased to recently held a CWP class at their HQ for employees who are residents of the state and wanted a permit to carry. The only companies I've ever known to have a blanket prohibition are the ones that treat their drivers in such a manner which gives them (executives, office staff, dispatch, etc...) cause to be concerned.

 

I think the problem is I am in chicago, chicago companies hate guns, everywhere you turn in chicago you see the no guns sign. Most stores and businesses have it, all city buildings and parks too, buses, trains, everywere.

 

And look at how much crime it has stopped!!!

 

Chicago politicions blame it all on indiana and wisconsin, they claim criminals all get their guns out of state.
