This is a thread for those of us on the IC ( Independant Contractor ) program. As owner operators we pick our own freight and determine our own home time. As far as choice freight, Ohio is a good market. But, you would be free to run any market that you want.

If you are looking for information about company drivers then you might want to check out a different thread.

I am so glad you cleard that up, for a moment I think we all thought you were a corss dresser :3some:

Sorry, I being a complete smart :bootyshake:. It's been one of those days. I personally haven't run that market up there but if you are coming over here as an independant contractor you will have the choise to drive wherever you want and make it home on your schedule. The midwest region is usually one of the best.

FW I thought of you all day today picked up a load in Ohio trailer 93xxxx 16,000 pound load so the ok tires pass in my book breaks not much just kinda looked like this trailer had more action than a stripper on the pole...but I only have to go 380 miles...290 miles into it she locked up the tandems....I got it right to the side I 71 16 miles from Cincinnati....I get out sure enough rotton air line I try to duct tape it...no go...I waited 6 hours on the side of the road...for roadside...great revenue day shot plus the rest of my deliveries will be late...and had to violate 7 minutes to get off freeway...

You could do ok. Don't know about your truck though. Policy is no more than 10 years old so might be borderline.

If you lease you will always have some residual value. If you lease 1 year then purchase for 3 years, yes it would be paid off at the end.
