It's slowed down for those that haul for the maquiladora industry. Factories on the Mexican side of the border shut down for a week when all the workers from the interior go home for Christmas.

Yeah capacity is dropping too as fleets get their drivers homeward bound for Christmas. I've already seen some preemptive postings for loads after Christmas.

Normally the patch is balls out in winter. Not so much now though. Logging is usually only dead for a few weeks during spring break up when the roads turn to ####. Can't speak much for any other areas of the industry.

The economy might not be so good if you have a liberal arts degree but aperently if your a electrician, plumber, hvac, or a welder it must be good because it takes a week to get one over to my house.
