Here's another thing, Looks like a main route through that town.
So now every one has to find a new way which might be longer.
The local businesses start losing money because of this.
Guess who is going to get sued by them for their businesses losing money with this bridge out...

From the looks of it, it's easily bypassed. I'm guessing that road was at one time what IN37 was routed on. I'm guessing she was using a car GPS which probably selected that as the shortest route to get through town to stay on IN37.

As a matter of fact I plotted on Google Maps from several miles south to several miles north on IN37 and sure enough, that's the route Google Maps suggested, right across that bridge.

Still no excuse. I ran Google maps for awhile before I was given a truck gps by a guy on this board willing and able to help out. I ran into plenty of no truck signs and weight limited bridges. Almost all of them I could turn away from or I got to practice my backing skills and curse myself for not calling for directions.

I ran it up from the south on street view. Just the road itself and the low hanging trees inbound should have been a clear indication maybe it wasn't a good route lol

The 'before' view of the bridge on street view has a plaque on the crossbeam from Cleveland bridge and iron, 1880. Are we giving extra points for destroying a historical site?

Even with pics sometimes I'm just dumbfounded at the depths of stupid we share the road with. The approach on street view clearly shows its too low to get under. Yet they still try.

It should be common sense to stay on marked state or US Routes.

Common sense would dictate that staying on the main road would be the best truck path.

Yep. Gotta wonder how many of those low hanging trees tagged her trailer before she even got to the bridge.
