Excuse me with your holier than thou GPS usage!!!!!! lol. I've had my dezl 560 since May 2012, I've put over 500,000 miles on it. It's rarely let me down. It has frozen up a few times, but it's an easy reset and on my way. I happen to be a Garmin fanboy as well, seeing as how RM's products are not built or programmed as well. They do, however, have some really great features that Garmin does not have. They just don't have the reliability.

NYC has been gone over street by street in truck restrictions on the RM..

As a note to the OP, Fastest/Shortest, allow/prefer will always route you differently. From your statements it sounds like you had the RM set to allow.

4+ years ago you were not routed on a Non-STAA route in AZ (AZ-93). You had your settings set to STAA...

    STAA - 53'/102"
    Non-STAA - 48'/96"

I wish you would really get over this.. If you set to STAA settings then you will not be routed on a Non-STAA route - change your settings to Non-STAA and poof you will be routed on Non-STAA routes.

Be aware you can be ticketed for OD if you are on a Non-STAA route with an STAA trailer.

At the time I offered several times to look at your unit, but you declined. Later you said you were set to STAA and AZ-93 is clearly Non-STAA in a few locations at that time.

You also stated not too long ago that you will drive on any route you desire and ignore the restrictions set in place by states.. States control their truck restrictions, not RM.

Please get over this issue you have been going on about for over 4 years.

Prescott, AZ when you had your TND, there was an Incorrect truck restriction across all lanes instead of the inner lane. That was corrected a few years ago.

I haven't used one in the city, and I still question Pittsburgh from having pulled a 53 foot reefer to deliver to a place in McKee' Rocks.

They have a team do that run now for the timing, but the PA truck map is not enough to reassure me that I'm doing it legally. The motor Carrier's Atlas doesn't have enough detail.

NYC, to be fair, is constantly changing what streets you can take by truck. There's a few in Brooklyn that were truck routes and are no more, and are not marked.

Really, you just had to drag yourself into this and bring old worn out history with you. Please go back to your RM thread and leave this one alone.

RM is constantly on the Truck Routes from the published NYC DOT map. If a route has changed then let me know so it can be verified and corrected.

No I am getting tired of Snowwy constantly bringing up an 4 year old issue about how he was not routed on a State NON STAA route while set to STAA settings. He constantly brings this up and I will correct it each and every time. A new driver will see this and they will think that the RM has a routing issue, when it is plainly a setting issue on the users TND. And you will notice, that Snowwy mentioned it, not me.. I am just setting the record straight again.

If a statement is not true, then I interject the correct statement.

BTW, in regards to traffic, the older TND's required a external traffic receiver whereas the older Garmin's did also, then Garmin build theirs into the power cord. These have gone by the wayside and the newer RM's use internet via a Hotspot and with Traffic, fuel, and weather running in tests by a 3rd party, you will use about 600-800mb of data.

I also noticed that this is a free open forum where I have the right to interject my comments.

I can't keep up. Because of how NYC is changing, it's constant now.
