I dont remember the exact address,.. but Swift has a yard there where they bring in those vans from Mexico and loads them onto flatbeds and car haulers from there.

I went to go get 2 of them delivering to Long Island, Ny. I had every intention of chaining them down to my bed. Unacceptable they said. Must have wheel straps. Seems I wasnt the only guy with out wheel straps. They had bags and bags of them.

My options were cancel the load or buy their wheels straps. I honestly almost canceled. I was thinking they were just going to take up space in my box. Instead,.. I have found many uses for them and use them often. Makes securing air compressors or generators a breeze,.. Takes less then 30 seconds to get each wheel strap on each wheel and a regular 4" strap bellied around the tongues. Much easier than dragging chains and binders out for each one.

Ask some of the guys here on TTR where that Swift yard is that does the Sprinter Vans in Larado. Thats the only place I know to get these. I have no doubt someone else sells them,.. I have no idea who or where.

The ones I have are dark charcoal in color.

They look similar to these with the cross straps over the top. [IMG]

But they have ratchets on each end that go to your deck like these.

    Hope that helps.

I'm home for the holidays and my trailer is at a shop for some service. He wont be back open until Monday. I meant to get some picks before Christmas Eve for you but have not found the time to get over there yet.

I'll get you some picks of the ones I actually have by Monday.

Yes that helps, I did find some on one of the cargo strap companies site. Guess maybe I will just order them from the site. Not sure when I would be in Laredo next to try and find a Swift yard.

    And for my next trick,..

Sorry for the delay,.. but honey do list has been taking precedence.

Anyway,.. I have 8 of these. They are about 2 yrs old. Thats a 295 tire on a 22.5 wheel.

This party bus/limo is the largest/heaviest vehicle I have used the straps on. From Denver to Miami,.. no issues.

How did you get that up those ramps without scraping the rear?

    Very carefully.

Slow and steady,.. the exhaust pipe was the only thing that scraped.

I loaded 3 2001 and 2002 Z06 Corvettes on my trailer. They have minimal ground clearance. For the vettes I used 1 4x4 and 2 2x8 boards 18 inch long to get the vetts started on the ramps with out scraping the chin spoilers. The stands are adjustable and when raised to max setting it just enough for the vettes to clear the deck.

The party bus had a lot of clearance. I put a 4x4 under each ramp on the ground to get the rear up enough not to scrape the bumper.

Those ramps and stands are pretty tough. I have had some crazy loads on them.
