The worst shipper has got to be Anheuser Busch in Colorado. When I tell you I was there 24 hrs and did not get loaded, it is the truth. To make it worse, after I pissed a fit, they had the audacity to ask me to come back the following morning to get loaded. I said you know what, unhook me from the dock, I'm leaving, this guy did not want to unhook me. I told him you have about 5 seconds to unhook me or I'll be carrying extra baggage when I pull out of here. As far as truckers not buying their product, yeah right!!

They are horrible, I think my longest was 18 hours there.

When I drove for Andrus I did spend 10 hours. But now we are strictly drop and hook. I don't even show up until it is confirmed that my load is ready. I do agree with you, if you are a live load. You might as well plan on at least a day.

^ Anheuser Busch plants are notorious for having drivers sit for hours if you're picking up a live load. Drop & hook is of course a simple affair but I remember doing a 10 hour break at the Baldwinsville plant in New York(just north of Syracuse). Apparently at this facility they literally have ROBOTS loading the trailers(and your trailer has to be docked properly between the lines otherwise it could screw up the loading process).

Anheuser Busch in Williamsburg, Va is one place that I put down as "never again".

I've picked up loads there a few times. That particular location is notorious(and has been discussed here on the forums frequently) because of their shenanigans.

I've picked up there only once and was in and out in 2 hours... The downside is no truckstops in that area

Coca Cola is the worst, had an appt in Paw Paw MI for 10 am, showed up at 9.30, did not finish till 4pm, which was too late to get another load. Ended up wasting a whole day for $75 detention pay.
Pepsi in Philadelphia was only 2 hours and they gave me a case of free pop.
So yeah, even though I try avoiding any freight which has anything to do with food or drinks, I'd choose Pepsi over Coke

Yeah the closest truck stop is the Pilot off I-64 in Providence Forge near West Point-about 10 minutes from the state police scalehouse no less. That Pilot only has like 40 spaces and the last time I was there they were doing some construction so parking is at a premium.
