On another note. What is the lease like? Is it a walk away lease? What type of Trucks/Payments etc. What they gov'ed at?

 

Ah spend some real quality time in a country like Russia or China and you gain a much greater appreciation for what we have in the USA...our rules at least go through court proceedings. And don't even get me started on Saudi Arabia...

 

Saudi Arabia is like another planet; child molesters are executed by other child molesters for commiting the crime of child molesting.

China is a great country to live and play in. Sure, there's plenty of cultural differences that are hard to get used to, but otherwise it's a good place to live and raise a family or work or spend retired years.

Haven't been to Russia; it's too cold there most of the year for me.

I can relate to it. A mad Girl Friend calls the cops while at your friends house. She says you won't return/stole her car. I had two ex's who were friends of my friends. They randomly came over etc. Anyway, Shes there blah blah with her new friend from WV she met from work. You give her the keys etc. She won't take the key's. Tells you to come home, if not she will say you stole her car etc. She ended up calling the cops. I was already at our place, handed her the keys and was about to step inside. A cop rolls up, 22 Year old Female. I'm 19 my Gf at the time was 18. Long story short, after us arguing I said I was not staying there that night. I pulled out my phone and was calling a friend to see if I could crash at his place and ask for a ride there. This Cop Arrest me for public intoxication/Underage possession of alchy. I was arrested, thrown in the tank with a flawless criminal history. I make bail by morning, walk 15miles home. 4 months later I arrived at my hearing after having split with my girlfriend 2 days after that happen. Judge asked if I had been drinking. No, I said. Did I have any possession of alcohol on me. No, I said. I offered to do a breathalyzer and what ever test on scene at the time I told the judge. Judge's response was, since you were not operation a motor vehicle, that couldn't be performed, even if I offered to take the test. The cop comes out and tells the judge. He was slurring his speech, his speech was impaired and he was driving his girl friends car while intoxicated. Obviously, she didn't even see that I was driving nor did I have car keys even on me, but she blatantly lied in court. The judge took her word for me having red eyes and slurred speech. I was working night shifts at walley world at the time. I having no criminal history what so ever at the age of 19, was charged for both misdemeanors for public intoxication and underage possession of alcohol and then fined, at my "HEARING" which is a felony for the state of Virginia to do so. Petty crap regardless of the matter. Now, you were saying? I guess this is why I am dating someone who is 30 and I am 24 now. I'm like master yoda in a 24 year old body.

 

Sorry for what you had to go through, it sucks not to have money - been on both sides of that story. I still would rather go through the system here vs. say India or China where you likely would have just ended up in prison. We are by no means perfect here, but overall we have one of the best systems in the world and I'm really really thankful to be an American... now if I could just get freight rates up a bit more life would be great!

 

I suppose you're right. An officer told me I should appeal it, but its petty. Probably to late now, not worth the money, my time and effort anyway.

You wanna raise freight rates? Meaning, stuff in the store becomes more expensive so either you'll be making more, but ya will be paying more? I guess if you're making more then paying it would work out, no?

 

Just want to see drivers able to get a more realistic rate based on inflation... my company pays fairly well, but there are so many that don't.
