I never understood the concept of paying the bank dollars of interest to save pennies on that dollar in taxes. Trucker math?
For someone running a lot of miles annually a new truck makes sense. Otherwise an older truck will do just fine. Mine quit depreciating years ago and I don't miss the write off.
You want to be an owner operator?! THE TRUTH!

@FinkPloyd - I've been on this forum giving out helpful advice to newbies for years. As have most of the other drivers you are arguing with. Maybe take some time when you have it to wade through some of that stuff from the past - might give you a whole nother perspective
And I could really give a #### less about the "thanks" and think the forum would be best without it. Typically though if someone posts something I agree with that's my way of saying, yep, you got it right, I agree with you.
Not that it matters but I come here when i have time to kill to read, learn, comment or whatever. I was talking with a friend just the other day ago what a complete waste of time it seems to be here or anywhere else offering up anything with all the trolls and whatnot. It's turning into Facebook. Useless and annoying. -
