I have read some of these posts. Most are true the sitting the slow trucks etc. I have been here 20 years. It's had its up and downs but judging by the turn over rate in trucking overall it not just TYSON. First if your forced to take a 34 hr break that means you have had a good week. Unless your one of those drivers that can't manage your time. It been my experience here the drivers that won't drive when the hrs are there (solar powered) or the ones that cry about where the loads going are the ones that don't make any money. These are the same one that will cry to other drivers but never talk to the dispatcher. So this being said there is money to be made here if your willing to do what it takes to make it. Things have changed over my 20 years but so has the industry. Communication, drive when you can not just when you want, and manage your time the money will be there

    You, wait! What?

You sound like a proud supporter of an electronic logging device.

    That is all.

And you will to in time or you might want to remember this saying "you want fries with that" since it has been mandated for everyone now

Hmmm. Why would I go work at a fast food restaurant? I can just as easily go hang off the back of a garbage truck, have zero responsibilities as far as the dot goes and make the same I do now. Plus, I'll be back in a good healthy order again.

Or I can drive the g truck again and still fall under short haul/no log required/time clock, ya know those rules.

I honestly don't know why most everybody keeps saying "if your not going to drive with an elog, then learn how to say you want fries with that".

This statement is infuriating. Ya act like trucking is the only job on earth for one. Two plenty of trucking will have exemptions and three #### ain't going to change for me. I'll still log the same hours and make the same money.

The only difference is I'll have to go on duty/off duty at that exact minute instead of when its more convenient and when I feel like drawing the line.

The trash trk gig might be worth it to ya. 10.50 hr and all ya can eat. The point was the Tyson drivers that were crying about there money anyway. But in your response you said nothing would change you would just log on duty and off duty so the thing about time management will apply to you you forget to do that and you will burn your time up costing you money

I'm hourly. The more time I use in five days. All hours that is. Not just on duty time. But all time at work. The better I'm paid. Daycab life!
So in a way, it cost me money to be time efficient. Oohlala
