Have you checked the Turbo? Leaking air hoses? (would be a helluva leak)

New to this place so I'm not sure if this is where I need this but, I have been having a similar issue with my 05 freightliner as the original poster. Started with cutting out of the turbo and an occasional CE light that would go on and off. We have now replaced the turbo twice. >:[ The problem persists. It will run fine for days or even weeks then suddenly while driving the turbo shuts off and we have to pull over and shut the truck off. Sometimes it will reset immediately, sometimes if we pry the plunger up on the turbo it will fix it. Sometimes it has to sit for an hour to reset. When it does reset sometimes it will work for days, sometimes only 5 miles before it happens again. Mechanics are all to happy to tear it apart to "find" the problem, charge me an arm and leg only to have the problem "re-appear". I'm frustrated and ready to cut my losses and drive it off a cliff. I don't want to spend more money on parts and labor that is doesn't need( like another $2300 turbo). can anyone give me specific advice on what to check before I spend more thousands on it.

With a laptop v pod output pressure needs to be checked. It supplies the air to the turbo actuator. Also the air line from v pod to actuator for leaks. I replace v pods 10x more than turbos. V pods are one of the few parts that I get bad out of the box frequently.

I do have similar problem with my 14L Detroit series 60 2005 Freightliner Century, at around 1400 rpms something interrupting the turbo and suddenly loosing power and smoking. I had my vpod, turbo boost sensor replaced 1 year ago, Faulty injector replaced 2 months ago and running boost mode with resistors instead barometric sensor I. I found that my turbo actoator is leaking air when i spray it with soap water but here are the codes that i have in order they came out:

    83
Exhaust Temperature or External Pump Pressure High

    44
    Oil or Coolant High Temperature

    43
    Low Coolant

    39
twice and i don't know what that is?

    64
    Turbo Speed Sensor Input Fault

    61
    Injector Response Time Too Long

The truck has 920 000 miles already with stock turbo, should i have it replaced while i'm replacing the turbo actuator? What are you guys suggest?
